Hymn From A Village

James is a British band of the 80s, 90s and 00s. Disbanded in 2002... and reformed in 2007. They wrote a song called "Hymn From a Village". I liked the name, and so the blog is named the same.

I have no words...

James show in Montreal @ Club Soda

Unbelievable show. Booth and band were in fine form. Mix of new songs and old was perfect. Accoustics at the club were near perfect. I could actually hear individual instruments and the vocals were never drowned out. Little distortion.

I've been paying some attention to the set lists from other shows, and I realize that the Montreal show was very special. The mix of songs was fantastic, and they played Fred Astair and GAWI, two rarities in the tour, it seems. They're sparsely playing songs from the more recent albums, and I'm impressed with the ones I got to hear. Basically all the best songs of Laid were played too.

Here is the San Francisco setlist. I picked this up for a friend. I'm not as big a fan of Star, Come Home, and Sound compared to GAWI, Fred Astair, Destiny Calling and PS.
